Care & Handling of Your Handmade Chocolate Truffles
Our truffles are always handmade in small batches because we believe freshness contributes as much to flavor as quality ingredients. Our truffles are not made or packaged until we have your order and special attention is given to every individual order. Chocolate Truffles made in the French tradition are more delicate than dipped truffles and require extra care to keep them in quality condition.
Please store them tightly in a plastic bag or an airtight plastic container. Chocolate will become dry if left opened and will absorb other odors. We have found that airtight snaplock containers that are now becoming widely available are perfect to store chocolate in.
Your truffles should be kept at about 70 degrees or cooler. It's best to refrigerate them if you're taking your time to consume them. Allow them to come to room temperature before opening (if you can wait that long.)
A "consume by" date is stamped on each box for 1 month but please don't wait that long to enjoy them. Their freshness is what makes them so much more special than off-the-shelf chocolates.
